By using CommodityPriceAPI ("Service"), or any services of CommodityPriceAPI, you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service").
All use of the website, information, services, and content distributed through or in conjunction with or made available on the website is offered to you subject to your acceptance of these terms and our Privacy Policy.
The following terms and conditions incorporate a legal agreement between you and CommodityPriceAPI and set forth the terms and conditions by which CommodityPriceAPI will make the CommodityPriceAPI APIs available in order to electronically provide you with the use of and access to CommodityPriceAPI Data and Services.
CommodityPriceAPI reserves the right to update and change the Terms of Service from time to time. Any new features that augment or enhance the current Service, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the Terms of Service. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes. At any time, you can review the most current version of our Terms of Service.
We will provide a one-month notice period before any changes to the Terms of Service take effect. This notice will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after the one-month notice period shall constitute your consent to the updated Terms of Service.
Violation of the terms below may result in the termination of your Account. You agree to use the service at your own risk.
For the purposes of this Agreement, "CommodityPriceAPI APIs" shall consist of:
All commodity price data feeds, including real-time pricing, historical pricing, time-series data for the prices and fluctuation data of the prices information for commodities such as oil, gold, silver, agricultural products, and other traded commodities
Currency conversion services supporting 175+ currencies
All data and information feeds, media, software, and/or electronic documentation made available or supplied by CommodityPriceAPI or its licensors
Certain other software, data, and/or documents supplied by CommodityPriceAPI or its licensees to facilitate the use of such data or services
This Agreement includes all amendments, addendums, and revisions to the terms herein in effect between you and CommodityPriceAPI from time to time.
CommodityPriceAPI hereby grants to you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, and limited license for the term of this Agreement to access the CommodityPriceAPI API for the limited purposes, and under the terms and conditions, as are set forth in this Agreement.
Subject to your compliance with the terms of this Agreement, you are hereby permitted to receive, process, and display commodity price information retrieved from CommodityPriceAPI API or Database to individual end-users of your application(s), provided:
Such end-user use this information strictly for their own personal or business use
You do not permit your end users to store, distribute, or otherwise exploit CommodityPriceAPI APIs for resale or redistribution purposes
You do not use the data to create competing commodity price services or APIs
For clarity, and without limiting the foregoing, you are permitted solely to use CommodityPriceAPI Services for reference by your end-users
Except as expressly provided herein, under no circumstances whatsoever may you transfer or permit the transfer of CommodityPriceAPI API outside of your application(s).
The commodity price data provided may be used for personal research, analysis, and informational purposes
You acknowledge that commodity prices are subject to market volatility and may change rapidly
You shall not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the data to third parties in any form
You shall not use the data to create competing commodity price services, APIs, or data feeds
Commercial redistribution or sharing of data with clients, customers, or business partners is prohibited without a separate commercial license
You shall use your best efforts and take all necessary steps to safeguard CommodityPriceAPI APIs to ensure that no unauthorized reproduction, publication, disclosure, modification, distribution, or other use of any CommodityPriceAPI API is made in whole or in part. To the extent that you become aware of any such unauthorized use of CommodityPriceAPI APIs, you shall immediately notify CommodityPriceAPI by emailing "info@commoditypriceapi.com".
In the event that you or any end users use CommodityPriceAPI API in violation of this Agreement, CommodityPriceAPI shall have the option of electing liquidated damages and immediate termination of services.
You may not use the service unless you are over the age of 13
You must be a human. Accounts created by automated methods are not permitted and will be removed
You must provide accurate and complete registration information any time you register to use the Service
You must sign up with your real company or personal email. Signups from disposable email addresses, shared mailboxes or any other fraudulent signups will be deleted
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
You may not use CommodityPriceAPI for any illegal purposes or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction
Subject to the terms herein, CommodityPriceAPI will provide you with access to CommodityPriceAPI APIs. All API calls to the APIs provided by CommodityPriceAPI must reference the credentials issued to you by CommodityPriceAPI. You may not disclose your credentials to any other party. You are solely responsible for ensuring the secrecy and security of your credentials and will be responsible for all activities that occur using such credentials.
You shall not use the CommodityPriceAPI APIs in a manner that constitutes excessive or abusive usage, including but not limited to:
Making requests that exceed your plan limits
Attempting to overload or disrupt our servers
Making concurrent requests beyond reasonable limits
Using the API in ways that could impact service availability for other users
CommodityPriceAPI offers flexible pricing plans for accessing our commodity price APIs. By purchasing any of these plans, you agree to pay in advance for your selected plan.
We offer a 7-day free trial for new users to evaluate our service. No payment information is required during the trial period.
Monthly Plans: Provide a fixed amount of API requests that reset every 30 days
Annual Plans: Provide monthly quotas of API requests that reset every 30 days for the duration of the annual subscription period
You will be automatically charged at the end of each billing period
If your payment fails, you will be notified via email
Three attempts will be made to charge your payment method
If payment fails after the 3rd attempt, your account will be suspended until payment is completed
You can cancel your account at any time from your dashboard
You will retain access to CommodityPriceAPI APIs until the end of your current billing period
Cancellation takes effect immediately, but service continues until the end of the paid period
Refunds may be provided on a case-by-case basis, calculated based on usage and time remaining
You are not entitled to a full refund if you have used any part of your allocated API credits
Upon cancellation, if you wish to have your data removed completely, email info@commoditypriceapi.com
Our commodity price data is sourced from trusted exchanges, financial institutions, and market data providers. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all data.
We strive to maintain high service availability, but acknowledge that the CommodityPriceAPI may be temporarily inaccessible due to:
Equipment malfunctions
Software maintenance or updates
Network connectivity issues
Causes beyond our reasonable control
Commodity price data is provided for informational purposes only
Prices may be delayed and should not be considered real-time for trading purposes
We are not responsible for trading decisions made based on our data
Users should verify critical data from primary sources before making financial decisions
"CommodityPriceAPI", the CommodityPriceAPI logo, and other identifying marks are trademarks and exclusive property of CommodityPriceAPI. Unauthorized use of these marks is prohibited.
Use of CommodityPriceAPI services is licensed, not sold. You do not acquire ownership rights to our data or services.
You retain all rights to applications and content you create using our API, subject to compliance with these terms.
By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We collect only the information necessary to provide our services and protect user accounts.
CommodityPriceAPI, its affiliates, and data providers shall not be liable for:
Any interruptions, delays, or inaccuracies in commodity price data
Trading losses or financial decisions based on our data
Damages resulting from service outages or data errors
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Your use of the service is at your own risk. The maximum liability of CommodityPriceAPI shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the preceding 12 months.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CommodityPriceAPI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the API in violation of these terms
Your applications or services that use our API
Any breach of your representations or warranties
CommodityPriceAPI reserves the right to terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your license to use the API ends immediately.
These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and CommodityPriceAPI regarding the use of our services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
This agreement is governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].
If any provision of these Terms of Service is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect under any applicable statute or rule of law, the provision shall be deemed omitted to the extent that it is invalid, illegal or unenforceable. You agree that these Terms of Service, CommodityPriceAPI's Privacy Policy and other legal documents posted through the Services have been drawn up in English. Although translations in other languages of any of the foregoing documents may be available, such translations may not be up to date or complete. Accordingly, you agree that in the event of any conflict between the English language version of the foregoing documents and any other translations thereto, the English language version of such documents shall govern.
